When and How to Do Manual Entry

Use manual entry if a barcode is not recognised or if the barcode label is missing.
Manual entry can also be used in this special situation: A customer pays for an item but would like to collect it from another store. This implies that the system should not deduct the item in the sale reports. To make this possible, enter the sold item as a manual entry and in the "Description" box enter the description just for record. The system will then not treat the item as being taken out of the store's inventory as the actual barcode is not used.Manual Entry is a last resort to make a sale when a barcode is not recognised. It is inadvisable to resort to this function on a regular basis because sold items' barcodes are not properly captured and hence your sale reports will be inaccurate.
Menu Buttons
To facilitate the transaction of popular products, you can set them on clickable menu buttons on the right panel. To do this, click the "Menu" checkbox and right-click the bar above the Cash button. Click the text 'Add a Category Button' to add one. You will be prompted to enter a name for the new category.
Now click that category button you have just created and you will see a blank square button below the Split Payment button. Right on it to add:

You can add more button by right clicking on this panel and go through the same process of linking a button to a barcode.
Now you can click on a menu button to make a sale instead of scanning in a barcode.
If you unselect the Menu checkbox, the menu buttons become hidden and the original panel with Discount checkboxes reappears.
